The Getting Under Your Skin film block promises an exploration of fear and identity through a diverse range of short films. From Alma’s anxiety about meeting her boyfriend’s parents, a man navigates the world of dating with an unusual twist of horror, which spirals into a compulsive struggle with body image, to the dark revelations of a handmade puppet film inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, each story delves into the complexities of human experience. The block features a jaded author unearthing the disturbing truth behind a Hollywood urban legend, a psychological horror tale of surveillance and decay, and a battle for autonomy against a haunting spirit in Out of Body. With mesmerizing animations like Les Bêtes and the nostalgic horrors of VHX, this film block invites audiences to confront their deepest fears and desires.
